Common Reasons for Status Changes
1. Certification Expired
Certifications have expiration dates. If a supplier does not renew their certification or registration with the issuing agency, their status will be removed from our database once the certification lapses.
What you can do: Encourage the supplier to renew their certification through the agency or register at our SupplerOne registration portal! Suppliers can register or update their registration with their up-to-date certifications and also self-attest their current diversity, small business, and sustainability status.
2. Certification Source Update
We regularly update data feeds from over 300 publicly available and several authorized private certification agencies. If these agencies updates or removes a supplier's certification, our database reflects that change.
3. Business Size Reclassification
Small business status is determined through certification agencies who certify small businesses or through determining the supplier meets the SBA size standards based on revenue and employee count. As a company grows, they may no longer qualify as a small business under their primary NAICS code.
