Every organization has different requirements for how they collects and reports MBE spend data. Tier 2 admins now have complete control over the level of ethnicity detail they want to include in their MBE reporting, allowing you to customize your program to match your specific compliance and business needs.
Admins can access new configuration options to either disable ethnicity reporting entirely or select which specific ethnicities they want to include in MBE spend breakdowns. When disabled, primes report MBE spend without ethnicity classifications, and all data is collected under "Unspecified." For direct reporting, the Add/edit Subcontractor pop-up won't show ethnicity options, while indirect reporting automatically routes MBE spend to Unspecified.
When specific ethnicities are selected, only those classifications appear in spend breakdowns and reports. Ethnicity charts in the Tier 2 interface remain visible but display as empty when disabled or show only selected ethnicity data when partially configured.
To configure ethnicity reporting settings:
1. Navigate to Configuration Options in your Tier 2 admin panel
2. Locate the MBE Ethnicity Reporting section
3. Choose to either disable ethnicity reporting entirely or select specific ethnicities to include
4. Save your changes - configuration will apply to all future data collection
Note: These configuration changes apply only to current and future data collection. Historical data remains unaffected, and existing supplier records will not be modified. All configuration changes are logged in the Tier 2 audit logs.
Confirmation Message for Category and Ethnicity Configuration Changes
Tier 2 admins will now see a confirmation pop-up when making changes to Category or Ethnicity settings. The message warns that updates affect open and future reporting periods and may impact past reports, with options to proceed or cancel. This helps prevent unintended impacts on your reporting cycles.
Confirmation for Report Refresh Action in Reports
Tier 2 report viewers will now see a confirmation pop-up when clicking "Refresh Reports" on any report page. The message warns that refreshing will apply current configuration settings to historical data from closed periods, with options to proceed or cancel. This ensures users understand the impact before updating report data with recent configuration changes.
