What “Self-Certified” Means
When a supplier is designated as Self-Certified, it indicates that:
- The supplier does not currently hold a third-party certification
- The supplier has attested to their diversity or size classification
- A signed affidavit is on file as supporting documentation
- The status is valid for one year from the date the affidavit is signed
When to Use Self-Certification
Suppliers may choose to self-certify if:
- They do not yet have an official certification from a recognized certifying body

They want to indicate their diversity status immediately
